OPEQ develops algorithmic trading software for research, backtesting, strategy automation, broker integration, execution, monitoring, and technical risk controls.
Translate defined signals, state, parameters, filters, sizing, exits, and portfolio rules into testable program logic.
Historical simulation with explicit data, session, fill, transaction-cost, slippage, and execution assumptions appropriate to the strategy.
Connect approved strategy decisions to supported broker or execution APIs with order-state handling, reconciliation, duplicate protection, and error behavior.
Expose strategy state, data health, orders, positions, errors, and technical risk conditions so authorised operators can supervise the system.
02 / Engineering approach
The implementation should reflect the users, data, integrations, permissions, failure modes, and operational responsibilities that exist outside the interface.
Document strategy behavior and assumptions before implementation so code changes do not silently redefine the research question.
Keep historical evaluation, live decisions, execution, and operational supervision clearly separated where practical.
Use data and assumptions appropriate to the trading horizon rather than interpreting idealised historical fills as guaranteed live behavior.
